“Mind Made Up" Miracle Life Print
This is the second of 5 painting for the Miracle Life Project with talented Rinska Douna.
Our families fraternal twin girls were born in January of 2018 at 28 weeks gestation. My daughters spent 10 weeks in Neo-Natal Intensive Care in Spokane, Washington. They were born at 2lb 12oz and 2lb 13oz.
The beautiful contrasts and colors come to life for baby at about 5 months old. I want the babies to gaze at this painting with a bit of wonder, I hope it brings a sense of peace, calm, and also a bit of excitement!
Splattering the paint on this canvas was cathartic, the energy coming out was all about letting go, embracing the unknown. I am so proud of our family, this is the best therapy I could ever ask for, I hope you can feel it, and also find a way to process old or new trauma. I thought I had processed this back in 2018, I can’t believe how much more there was to unpack, I have cried, and more healing has taken place. I am realizing all over again the power of creativity, and of letting go.
